My name is David Frostwick and I assist the Lodge Secretary with the “day to day” administration of the lodge, deputising for him should he be unable to attend lodge meetings. I was the Secretary of City Lodge an office I held for 10 years and have now relinquished that post due to ill health.
I was born in the small mining village of South Hetton in February 1957. After attending the village infant and junior schools I completed my education at Shotton Hall Comprehensive. After experiencing various jobs I was employed by British Coal at Easington Colliery, where I worked for 18 years, eventually being retired in 1994 on medical grounds.
During my time as a Freemason I have served the Lodge as a Representative on the Masonic Hall Management Committee, during which time I have held the office of Committee Secretary and Chairman, a position I still hold today.
Freemasonry has given me a different outlook on life and I would recommend it to anyone.
